SA hip-hop artist/producer, LEO, has finally dropped off his new project called GRN that has him gathering the talents of Miles, Looyundah & Phiwo as features to deliver a 7-track body of work that we believe acts as a testament to LEO’s production precision and overall artistic capabilities.
The EP is the current instalment of LEO’s colour series that is said to be attached to direct life experiences and memories as songs such as ‘Mi Way’ (with Looyanduh) or even the ‘No’ (interlude) find Leo riding an inward-looking wave that was clearly inspired by the adventures of life as indicated…

We were lucky enough to have gotten an early listen to the tape and as we continue to delve deep into it, the project’s distinctiveness becomes more & more appealing as reinforced by songs such as ‘Kendrick’s Song’ that offers a more left-field tempo when compared to ‘Omg’ for example, a more laid-back offering that offers the artist the foundation to remind the game why he should be considered a serious contender (if you don’t already view him as one) while narrating dialogues that paint vivid of his experiences…
To teach the South African audience to be OBJECTIVE about releases there’s so much talent out here and everyone deserves the same FAIR chance.
